OUR STORY

About PHNX Development

Crosby PHNX Home.png
PHNX was born from seeing firsthand how the design and construction industry fell short in responding to wildfire devastation.

Founded in 2019, we combine non-combustible home design with a trauma-informed approach to helping families rebuild.

Meet the Team

We bring together expertise in architecture, design, and construction with a shared commitment to the people we build for. From your first questions to your finished home, we’re here to listen, guide, and keep the process clear.

Certified by the State of California in Crisis Intervention since 2014, Laurie utilized her training in Trauma Informed Care to develop a design process that is sensitive to the unique needs of wildfire survivors.

After working with fire survivors to rebuild their homes, she saw and experienced first hand the many challenges and obstacles that these resilient people face and became determined to create a process tailored to survivors' needs, treating them with dignity and respect.
