PHNX in the Palisades: In-Person Demonstrations & Project Preview

On Saturday, May 16, PHNX Development invites Palisades community members and leaders, fire survivors, professional allies, investors, and press to spend the day on site at 17020 Livorno Drive — the future home of The Crosby House.

You'll see mockups and live presentations of the patent-pending PHNX Longspan™ Structural System: the noncombustible, Type I construction approach that makes PHNX homes insurable in high fire risk areas through our alliance with Mercury Insurance. You'll also get a first look at the PHNX Portfolio Homes™ Collection — four pre-designed homes that redefine California Modern, and bring pricing clarity to families rebuilding now.

More than a home on a lot, The Crosby House will begin its life as a community hub for the Palisades — a center for gatherings, events, art, and the work of coming home, together. It's a new concept for how we can reunite our communities while we rebuild. We'll share the concept in person, on the ground where it will live.

What You'll Learn

Not Just Hardened. Not Just Protected. Truly Noncombustible.

PHNX Development is a California-based design-build company dedicated to helping wildfire survivors rebuild stronger, safer, and more sustainably. As the innovator behind the nation's only Type IA noncombustible single-family homes, each PHNX Home is structurally wood-free, net-zero energy, and deeply rooted in trauma-informed care. Others build with wood and try to protect it. At PHNX, we eliminate structural and exterior wood altogether—building to the same standards as high-rises and hospitals.

"While nothing is ever 100% fireproof, a Type IA noncombustible PHNX Home is as close as you can get — and we have the building code behind us. It’s peace of mind that no other single-family home builder can offer."

Laurie Fisher, Founder & CEO

Mercury Insurance.jpg

As the only company building Type IA noncombustible single-family homes to code, PHNX Homes are automatically prequalified for fire coverage by Mercury Insurance. Mercury has vetted the technology and is able to offer policies to PHNX homeowners at a fraction of what they would pay for traditional construction, especially in fire-prone areas that are blacklisted by insurance companies for wildfire coverage.
